Dahlia’s are dug, now it’s time to divide and conquer! Er, I mean store! ✂️✂️✂️ Dividing is taking so much longer than I was expecting but that’s all part of the process. . . . One of the most time consuming things is a non-negotiable and that’s disinfecting tools in between EACH plant. A small task to add with a big benefit of having a disease free crop. Whelp, the going ain’t easy that’s for sure!! I had a major fridge malfunction this week and lost everything that was harvested. It was devastating, I was heart broken. I had one order in particular going to a birthday, expectant happy customers and nada, zip, zilch. I was so excited with the harvest, our first real flush of dahlias coming in and some beautiful last stems of sunflowers for this variety and cosmos.
