1811 Scrimshaw Child's Ivory Sewing Box
1811 ivory oval scrimshawed sewing box with carved thimble and thread spool, fitted lid reads, "Sarah Mills" in upper banner and "My Sewing Box" in lower banner, "1811" carved between lid knob, leaves and flowers also on lid, with a carved scrimshawed accurate tape measure around upper border of sides, sewing tools all around sides, cubed edging border on bottom of sides, 3 1/8" W x approximately 2 1/4" H. Thimble also has her name carved into side.
