Make it Safe!
If you see a safety hazard, fix it as soon as possible. It may be a simple fix of taking a defective appliance out of service. Other fixes may take time and/or need to be budgeted for. As you work your way through the home inspection, make note of items you will need to follow-up on resolving or investigating further.
Make it Safe! Home Safety Action Item
Action: Do a walk about assessment. Take the Home Safety Assessment Form with you and do a walk about inspection of the inside of the elder's home. If the elder lives with you, you could very well be conducting an assessment of your own home, however with a different set of eyes I.e. with the safety of an elder in mind.
