Palm Tree - (Cut out the bottoms of brown paper lunch bags, and scrunched them over a large pool noodle, folded over a green table cloth several times and drew and cut out a leaf pattern. Had some wire and used E600 glue to attach the leaves to the wire. Stuck the exposed wire from the leaves into the noodle and Walla!! A palm tree!) :) I plan on driving a wooden stake into the ground and then slipping the pool noodle over it to hold it in place outside.
This is a picture of streamers from an ocean themed birthday party. I wonder if I can recreate it with ribbon so it will hold up a little better. I could also take apart my two fish mobiles and hang the fish from fishing wire using the curtain rod. The teal curtains from IKEA would also cut down on some of the space needed to cover with ribbons. Hmmmmm...
