Kargil Vijay Diwas is the great day when our brave soldiers successfully take back command of the outpost which was captured by Pakistan. Kargil is a border town in the Ladakh region of J&K, and the Pakistani army intruded on the borderline (LOC) and occupied the posts. On May 3rd, 1999, a shepherd reported intrusion by Pakistani soldiers in Kargil. By May 10 Pakistani soldiers reached Dras, Kaksar, and Mushkoh sectors.
