More than a Garden
At first, my small garden was simply a place to grow food. But, the more time I spent out there, the more the garden grew. Building Character, Creating Home
My newfound interest in gardening does not stem from a traditional place. While I grew up on a small sheep farm, gardening was never a big part of my childhood or something I learned from previous generations, as it is for many who go on to become one themselves. Evening in the Garden
As the summer sun set and the candles and globe lights filled the orchard with their warm glow, we all sat back and simply soaked in the beauty of gathering at the table together. The work of the garden, the tending and caring, is all felt and so deeply appreciated when you can gather and enjoy it together.
A Reclaimed Garden Walkway
Every so often, I like to revamp outdoor features that help enhance my garden. And in this case, a previous outdoor walkway needed replacing. Although concrete stepping stones could provide a quick fix, I desired the quaintness only a DIY walkway could provide, so out came the reclaimed wood. I began to create a whimsical walkway that would not only enhance my garden space but also provide an easy and clean way to walk from the driveway right into the yard, where I can enjoy the beautiful flower
