Teaching Sight Words Tips

Learning to read high-frequency words is one component of learning to read. The Dolch Word list, Fry's Instant Words and Sight Word lists are used to help beginning readers quickly decode. On this board, we highlight sight word games, activities, displays, books and free printables for beginning readers Our Word Families board is a good companion to this. Great for kindergarten, early primary and homeschool students.

I made this sight word rubbings activity for my son to help get him ready for kindergarten. He loves to practice sight words when we do this. This is a wonderful activity to learn letters, numbers, or for a child learning to write their name. It is great fun! :)
