Yorkdale Shopping Centre's New Immersive Holiday Experience - Journey to the North Pole
Studio Artefact imagined, designed, and built the new immersive holiday experience at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, “Journey to the North Pole.” In this exciting seasonal event launching in Toronto, guests are invited to step into Santa’s magical spaceship and embark on a journey to the North Pole. Our workshop's unmatched expertise and production capacity enabled our 12 departments to collaborate on this unique brand activation. Utilizing large-scale 3D printing, we created and manufactured this eye-catching, custom-made Christmas attraction for Yorkdale.
We imagined, designed and built the original Santa Elevator Experience to meet Santa Claus, using a magical elevator to transport visitors to the North Pole. In the first part, a multimedia staging makes the journey completely immersive for a most magical and memorable moment. The virtual elevator ascends into the sky and completes a colorful itinerary before landing at the North Pole. In the second part, visitors are invited to pass through the door where Santa Claus patiently awaits them in the comfort of his home. Here, guests can meet him in person and take the opportunity to capture a souvenir photo. We imagined, designed and built the original Santa Elevator Experience to meet Santa Claus, using a magical elevator to transport visitors to the North Pole. The Christmas display at Complexe Desjardins in Montreal is unique in many ways. First and foremost, it's the world's largest 3D-printed Christmas tree. It took nearly 600 hours of planning and some 2,775 hours of 3D printing to produce all the parts that make up the tree.
