Hiking Sentinel Peak (The Amphitheatre Hike) in the Drakensberg Mountains
Something in me just loves a quirky hike. Have to scale a waterfall? OK, I’m in! Slide down the valley on your bum? Let’s do it! So when I found out about the hike to Sentinel Peak in the Drakensberg Mountains in South Africa (also known as ‘the Amphitheatre Hike’), where you have to climb up chain ladders half way through, I thought: sign me up, right now. Little did I know that this is a hike that requires some planning. It’s not super difficult per se, but it is extremely easy to mess up. Luckily for you, I made a lot of these mistakes, and now I can happily tell you how not to make them! Click the link to find out more.
Stellenbosch vs Franschhoek
Picture this: you’re cruising through the South African vineyards (on a segway), dreaming of your next cool crisp glass of wine on your balcony that evening, gazing out to the mountains and surrounded by nature. Pretty cool right?! But which of the wine regions should it be: Stellenbosch vs Franschhoek? Click the link to find out!
