From my Studio Window II, a 8"x 8" fine art print by Ting.

I have had many studios in my career as an artist. I loved each and everyone of them. This particular studio was a very productive one, it served as half storage, half creative space. My window looked out to the neighbourhood where many things seemed to happen, it was a busy corner. The energy was high and my work flowed endlessly in this space, I painted twelve paintings in this studio and am thankful for it’s productive space.

My husband and I fell in love with this house after we moved to Golden. This was our dream home, it was a little heritage building built in 1905 and had many unique features that only an old house would possess. So we set a plan in motion to purchase our dream home, we were as happy as we could possibly imagine. Unfortunately a couple weeks before we were to take possession of the house, it was burnt down. This is about the innocence of childhood, about being young and carefree. The music from the flute sets the mood and happiness fills the canvas. There’s a family bond between these four girls that will carry them through to adulthood. When they grow up, they will be living very different lives and even though they will be living far away from each other, that strong bond will always remain. This is about me and my sisters and is a companion piece to ‘The Reunion’.
