A Stop in Cologne, Germany
On our trip to Europe, we decided to spend the final night in Cologne, Germany. This Rhine-front city is well known for its famous gothic cathedral. Having been there before a few years before, we didn’t have a strong urge to see everything. But, Cologne is not super far from Frankfurt airport (about 2-2.5 hours, driving/train) for our flight home, and in our experience is a better stop than Frankfurt as a tourist. See what we chose to do! #Travel #Cologne #Germany #Europe
A Day in Ghent, Belgium: Medieval Beauty and Belgian Waffles
Our next destination on our whirlwind European adventure was the picturesque city of Ghent, in the heart of Belgium. Jeremy had ridden his bike through this city on his Amsterdam to Paris cycling trip 5 years earlier, and wanted to revisit with the family. Ghent has stunning medieval architecture and a rich tapestry of history. We enjoyed the towers, churches, and waffles in this nice Belgian gem. #Travel #Ghent #Belgium #Europe

The Porsche and Mercedes Museums in Stuttgart, Germany
After a night in Freiburg, Germany, we continued our roadtrip through Germany, Luxembourg, and Belgium to the city of Stuttgart. One of our teenage sons is a big fan of sporty cars, so when we discovered that both the Porsche Museum and the Mercedes-Benz Museum are in the same city of Stuttgart in southwestern Germany, we knew we needed to go! #Travel #Stuttgart #Germany #PorscheMuseum #MercedesMuseum
Mexico City: Exploring the Historic Center
While many tourists choose to visit Mexico’s famous beach areas, for various reasons our family decided to spend 4 days in Mexico City. While Mexico City isn’t as easy of a destination as other places we often visit, it is very lively and a big draw to the city is seeing the energy of the locals and feeling the heartbeat of the city. Travel Mexico!
