Bertram Lloyd Marshall was born in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad in 1936 and was known as a genius scientific researcher and a madman of steelpan. He introduced the six bass on the road, the use of canopies to protect the pans from the sun, and introduced the steelpan to the Church.
